How the price gap is calculated

For each Ape, Deal Radar calculates (estimate − ask) ÷ estimate × 100. A positive percentage means the seller is asking less than the model estimate. That percentage measures the gap between the two prices; you haven't earned it by buying the Ape.

A large gap is worth a closer look. Check the valuation range and sales history first, then confirm that the listing is still available at that price.

Why the cheapest Ape may not have the biggest gap

An Ape at the collection floor may be priced close to its estimate. A more expensive Ape can have a larger gap if the model values its traits more highly. See how floor price fits in.

Using Deal Radar

On the member homepage, each listing shows the Ape ID, asking price, model estimate, and gap. Filter by price range, gap, or trait to narrow the list. From there, open the Ape page for its valuation details or follow the link to the marketplace.

If you're looking for the cheapest available Apes, open Floor Apes. If you have a particular look in mind, start with Trait Finder.

Collector members see delayed listings. Full Access removes that plan delay. See the membership plans for details.

Before you act on a listing

  1. Check the estimate's uncertainty

Open the Ape and compare the asking price with its model range, not only the central estimate.

  2. Look for relevant sale evidence

Look for recent sales of similar Apes. Be careful with a comparison that depends on one unusually high sale.

  3. Check the listing again

Confirm the Ape ID and asking price on the marketplace. A listing may have changed, sold, or been withdrawn since it was last checked.

  4. Account for the whole transaction

Allow for fees and the time it might take to sell. If you measure your returns in another currency, changes in the price of ETH will matter too.

Check how past estimates compared with sales

The sale examples on the public homepage show completed transactions. Their price gaps compare what the buyer paid with an estimate recorded before the sale. Use them to understand past results; check Deal Radar for current listings.

The performance page shows how close the estimates came to actual sale prices. An average can hide large misses, so read it alongside the results for individual sales.

Questions about below-value listings

Does Deal Radar buy an Ape for me?

No. You review the listing in ApePredictor and make any purchase separately on the marketplace.

Can I filter for specific traits?

Yes. The member workspace includes trait filtering and Trait Finder. The trait guide explains how to compare rarity with sale evidence.

Are the public sale examples still available?

Those examples have already sold. Check Deal Radar for current listings and confirm availability on the marketplace.
